[Abstract]The global aging population is contributing toa yearlyincrease intheincidenceof Alzheimer'sdisease(AD). ThepreciseoriginofADanditsrelatedcognitiveimpairmentremainsambiguousduetotheintricaciesofitspathophysiology.AnincreasingvolumeofevidenceindicatesthatspecificdietarypaternsafecttheprevalenceofADandcognitivefunction,withprominent examplesbeing theMediterraneandiet(MeDi),theDietaryApproachestoStop Hypertension(DASH),the Mediterranean-DASHInterventionforNeurodegenerative Delay(MIND),theketogenicdiet(KD),andthe modified Mediterrnean ketogenicdiet(MMKD). ThisreviewconsolidatesexistingresearchotheimpactofdietaryinterventionsonADincidenceandcognitiveperformance,withthe objective to ofering practical insights for the prevention and management of AD in China.
