Abstract: Inorder to selectsuperior thick-skinned melonresources,provide materials for newvarietybreeding,and pro motethesustainabledevelopmentof themelon industryinSouthern Xinjiang,thisstudyconductedacomparative experimentonagronomic traitsusing 13localcultivated thick-skinned melonresources as experimental materials.Wesystematicallyinvestigatedtepenologicalpriod,morphologicalcharacteristics,yield,andfruitualityalyedeiece among germplasms,and performed acomprehensive evaluationofon18quantitative traits.The results showed that the No.1(Xikexing)resource exhbitedtheshortest total growth period(approximatelyl10days),andcouldserveasbreeding materialfor early-maturing variety.TheNo.8(Black eyebrow Mijigan)and No.9(Kuokebairi)resources had the longesttotalgrowth period(133-134days),andaresuitableas breeding material formid-to-latematuring variety.The No.12 (Wumuxiake)resource ranked first incomprehensive evaluation(mean value of0.72),and could be used as parental materialfornewhigh-yieldandstable thick-skinned melonvariety.TheNo.6(Kalakukeqi)resourcerankedsecond inthe comprehensiveevaluation(mean valueofO.64)andissuitableastheparental materialfornew large-fruitandhigh-yield thick - skinned melon variety.
