Abstract:Strawreturning refers tothepracticeof directlyapplying strawunsuitableforimmediateuseasfeedinto thesoil oraplyingitaftercomposting.Thismethodnotonlyefectivelymitigatesairpolltioncausedbystrawburningbutalso enhancessoilfertityandincreasescropyields.Byconductingacomprehensiveanalysisofcurrentliteratureonthe environmntalimpactsofreturningstrawtofeldonsoilthispaperfirstreviewssystematicallyitsefectsonsoilphysical, chemical,andiologicalpropertis.heimistprovideradeswithalisticderstandingofemethodologies,cocusios, andperspectivesinexistingresearchonstrawincorporation.Aditionally,thispaperhighlightsinconsistentfindingsreported acrossdiferentstudies,suchasthevaryingimpactsofstrawincorporationonsoilmicrobialcommunities,enzymeactivities,and pH levels.Finaly,potentialdirectionsforfutureresearchareoutlined,including:investigatingheunderlyingmechanismsbeind divergentexperimentalresultsrelatedtosoilmicrorganismsandpH;evaluatingthelarge-scaleefectsofstrawincorporationon soilecosystems;andconductingcomparativestudiesontherolesofnaturalprocesssversushumaninterventionsinstraw incorporation practices.mass fraction of mercury in soil.
