Abstract ObjectiveTo analyze the spatiotemporal characteristics and influencing factors of health resource allcation eficiency incounty—levelhospitalsinChina，andtoprovidereferencesforoptimizing healthresourcealocationinthesehospitals.Methods Basednpaneldatafrom28provices（autonomousregions，municipalitiesdirectlyunderthecentralgovernment）inChinafrom212to 2022，thesupereficiencySBMmodelwasemployedtomeasurethehealthresourceallcationeficiencyincounty—levelhospitals. KerneldensityetimationandtheDagumGinicoeficientwereutliedtorevealtetemporalevolutiontrendandspatialdistribution characteristicsAditionally，theTobitmodelwasappliedtoexamineteexteralinfluencingfactorsofllcationeficencyesuls From 20l2 to 2O22，the mean health resource allocation efficiency in county—level hospitals in China was 0，708 ， indicating an overall loweficiency.Therewasasgnificantredundancyinthenumberofhospitalsandaninsuficentnumberofoutpatientvisits.Afluctuating downward trend was observed over time，with notable regional disparities in spatial distribution （eastern > western > central regions），rimarilystemmingfrofrencsiervarabledesityPerapitadispoableiome，rbazatiolevelandfsalalth expenditure were identified as external factors influencing health resource allocation efficiency （ P<0.05 ）.ConclusionIt is recommended toadjustthenumberofcounty—levelhospitals，nhancepatientswillngnesstsklocalmedicaltreatment，promotebalaced developmntwithinregionswhilepreventingfurtherwideningofiterregionaldisparities，andoptimizetheexteralenviroenfor health resource allocation.
