Abstract:Aselectrifiedrailwaysextendintoregionssusceptibletosevereicing,frequenticingincidentshaveposed significantchalengestorailwaysafety.Thispaperpresentsacomprehensivereviewofanti-icing,monitoring,anddeicing technologiesforcatenarysystems.Thispaperdelvesintoanti-icingstrategies,includinganti-icingcoatings,citicalcurnt methods,andphysicalpropertyaproaches.Additionallthepaperexaminesicingpredictionandonlinemonitoringtechnologies, leveragingdataanalysis,artificialinteligenceandsensorsystems.Variousdeicingtechniques,suchasthermalmelting, mechanicalremovalandthermalsliding,arealsodiscussedThefindingsunderscorethenecesityforfutherresearchtoevelop cost-efectiveeasilyimplementableintegratedanti-icinganddeicingsystemstoenhancethedisasterresilenceofrailway catenary systems and ensure their safe operation.
