Prevention and treatment of inflammation-cancer transformation in ulcerative colitis （combined cold and heat pattern） with Chinese medicine

[Abstract]Ulcerativecolitis （UC）isachronicdiseasecharacterizedbytheinflammationoftherectalandcolonicmucosa， withmainclinicalsymptomsincludingabdominalpain，mucopurulentbloodystool，andtenesmus.Itfollowsaprolongedand recurrentdiseasecourseandisloselyrelatedtotheocurrenceofcolorectalcancer（CRC）.Chinesemedicine（CM）positsthatthe combinedcoldandheatpersiststroughouttheentireprocssofiflammatioancertransformationinUCandCMhaseostated uniqueadvantagesinregulatingthisprogressionThispapersystematicallelucidatesthepathologicalfeaturesandpatogenesis evolutionofthecombinedcoldandheatintheprocessof"inflammation-dysplasia-canceration"inUCfromtheCMperspectiveof cold-heatpaterndiferentitionIntegrating evidencefrommodernmedicalmolecularmechanismresearch，thispaperexploes the multi-targetfctsofassicalfousschsumeiPill，aniaieinecoctioandoillndsveraligle medicines including Machixian （Portulacae Herba），Huzhang（olygoniCuspidati RhizomaetRadix），Kushen（SophoraeFlavescentis Radix），andJianghuang（urcumaeLongaeRizoma）inmodulatingtheinflammatorymicroenvironmentregulatinggutmicobiota andrestoring immunehomeostasisinUC.Itaimstoprovide theoreticalsupprtandnewapproaches forthepreventionand treatment of inflammation-cancer transformation in UC with integrated Chinese and Western medicine.
