Abstract： [Purposes] This study aims to investigate the developmental characteristics and influencing factors of landslides，which provides valuable references for landslide hazard prevention and control. [Methods] Taking the landslide inShixi village，Mugang Town，Yangxin County，HubeiProvinceas the research object，through the field investigation，the stability of landslide disasters was evaluated by combining qualitative and quantitative methods，and corresponding prevention measures were proposed， providing a reference for the local government to prevent and control landslide disasters.[Findings] The landslide in Shixi village，Mugang Town，Yangxin County，Hubei Province was formed by the superposition of various influencing factors.Under current conditions，the landslide is in a relatively stable state; under current conditions，it is in an unstable state，with potential for imminent sliding，requiring urgent engineering remediation.[Conclusions] Based on the analysis of the influencing factors and stability of landslide，the treatment measures of landslide proposed，including overal relocation as avoidance strategy slope cuting for load reduction，anti-slide piles intercepting drainage engineering and latice structures.
