Design of DC Test Power Supply for Preventing AC Intrusion in DC Circuitof Substation

Abstract:[Purposes] The DC system of a substation is acrucial part of the power grid operation.It provides energy for secondary equipment and ensures the safe and stable operation of primary equipment. However, the intrusion of AC into the DC system poses a serious safety risk in the operation of substations.This paper elaborates in detail on the development processof a DC test power supplythat can monitor the intrusion of AC into the DC loop.[Methods] In response to the problem of AC intrusion,this study analyzes its hazards and the deficiencies of existing measures,and then proposes a development scheme for the test power supply. By investigating the power supply topology,control and protection circuits,AC intrusion detection,and the switching of DC power supply output,a DC test power supply with innovative features has been designed. It includes detection technologies based on the differential voltage method and the DC-blocking capacitor method,multiple output interfaces and selectable output voltage ranges.[Findings] Test results demonstrate that, the power supply protection response is rapid, the output voltage stability is within ±0.5% ,with the detection accuracy exceeding 99 % . [Conclusions] The proposed power supply is expected to prevent accidents caused by the intrusion of AC,improve the operational safety of the power grid,and provide strong support for the operation and maintenance of substations.
