Design of the Automatic FeedingSystem for Material Station in YF716-Type PackagingMachine

Abstract: [Purposes] To address the issues of low automation level and high labor intensity in the paper rollfeeding process at the material station of the YF716 packaging unit,an automatic paper roll feeding system was designed.[Methods] This system mainly consists of a gantry-type robotic arm,an end effector,a vision system,and a peripheral frame.The gantry-type robotic arm is composed of X- and Υ- axis linear motion mechanisms,a Z-axis lifting mechanism,and a flipping device,enabling coordinated movement with the end effector to grip and position paper rolls.The end effector consists of a gripping sleeve, a telescopic pneumatic claw,and friction blocks.The vision system consists of a 3D vision camera and a 2D vision camera to accurately locate the center of the paper roll.[Findings] Experimental results demonstrate that the automatic feeding system completes the loading of each paper roll within 5 minutes, achieving a loading success rate of 100% .[Conclusions] The proposed system improves the automation level of the YF716 packaging unit's material station ,reduces manual labor intensity,and provides ffective technical support for enhancing the automation level of roll packaging production lines.
