AbstractObjective：ToexploretheapplicationefectofHumanitudecare methodologyinelderlypatientswithcognitiveimpaiment. Methods：Atotalof74elderlypatientswithcognitiveipamentadmitedtoacertainelderlycarecenterweredividedintointeretion groupandcontrolgroupacordingtothewards，with37cases ineach.Thepatientsincontrolgroupreceivedroutinecare.Thepatients in interventiongroupincorporatedtheHumanitudecaremethodologyonthebasisofroutinecare.TheMini-MentalStateExamination （MMSE），BarthelIdex，NeuropsyiatricIventoryNursingHomeVersionScore（N-NH）andQualityofLifeleimessease （QOL-AD）scoresofthetwogroupswerecomparedbeforetheinterventionand12 weeksaftertheinterventionResults：At12weeks afterthe ntervention，thetotalsoresofMMSE，NPI-NHandQOL-ADintheinterventiongroupwereallbettrthanthosenthe control group（all P<0.05 ）.Conclusions：The Humanitude care methodology could improve cognitive function，self-care ability，dementiarelated mental and behavioral symptoms，and quality of life in the elderly with cognitive impairment.
