Effect of Kinesio taping on relieving pain in patients after laparoscopic assisted colorectal cancer surgery

Abstract  Objective：To observe the analgesic effect of Kinesio taping in patients with laparoscopic assisted colorectal cancer after surgery.Methods：A total of 70 patients receiving laparoscopic assisted colorectal cancer surgery in the department of general surgery of Beijing Haidian Hospital from January to May 2024 were selected as the study subjects，and were divided into the study group and the control group with 35 patients in each group according to random number table method.The control group patients was treated with conventional nonsteroidal analgesics after operation.The study group patients was treated with Kinesio taping after operation.Postoperative pain score，the number of patients using of analgesic drugs，the time to getting out of bed，the time of first anal exhaust and the time of defecation were observed.Results：The reduction of pain scors in the study group patients was significantly greater than that in the control group patients（P<0.05）.The proportion of patients using analgesics in the study group patients was significantly lower than that in the control group patients（P<0.001）.The time of exhaust gas and defecation in the study group patients were earlier than those in the control group patients（P<0.05）.Conclusions：Kinesio taping can effectively relieve pain and promote the recovery of intestinal function in patients after laparoscopic assisted colorectal cancer surgery.
