Abstract  Objective：To translate the Caregiver Burden Questionnaire for Hemodialysis Patients（CBQ⁃HP） into Chinese，and to test its reliability and validity.Methods：According to the Beaton translation model，the CBQ⁃HP was translated，consulted by experts，pre⁃surveyed and reviewed by original authors to form the Chinese version of CBQ⁃HP.A total of 480 family caregivers of hemodialysis patients were investigated by convenience sampling to test its reliability and validity.Results：The item⁃level content validity index（I⁃CVI）ranged from 0.833 to 1.000，and the scale‐level content validity index（S⁃CVI） was 0.905.Exploratory factor analysis extracted 4 common factors，and the cumulative contribution rate of variance was 69.192%.Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the model fit well.The Cronbach's α coefficient of the total volume table was 0.931，and the Cronbach's α coefficients of the four dimensions ranged from 0.832 to 0.914.The retest reliability was 0.771.The correlation coefficient between the total score of Chinese version of CBQ⁃HP and the total score of Zarit Caregiver Burden Scale was 0.736（P<0.001）.Conclusions：The Chinese version of CBQ⁃HP has good reliability and validity，which is suitable to measure the burden of family caregivers of hemodialysis patients in China.
