Qualitative study on preferences and needs of home⁃based cardiac rehabilitation in patients with coronary heart disease after PCI

Abstract  Objective：To explore the preferences and needs of home⁃based cardiac rehabilitation for patients with coronary heart disease after percutaneous coronary intervention，and to provide evidence for the construction and implementation of home⁃based cardiac rehabilitation.Methods：Based on the theory of patient and public involvement，objective sampling and maximum differential sampling were used to select 21 patients with coronary heart disease after percutaneous coronary intervention from November to December 2023 for personal interviews or focus group interviews.The data were analyzed by inductive content analysis.Results：Three themes were identified：the need for cognitive debugging，the need for diverse choices，and patient⁃centered preferences.Conclusions：Patient participation maked the research focus on the practical problems of patients' concern.Medical staff should pay attention to patients' preferences and needs，strengthen health education in the construction and implementation of home⁃based cardiac rehabilitation intervention，provide diversified choices and personalized programs，and promote patient⁃centered nursing.
