Construction of a nursing quality evaluation index system for delirium prevention in ICU patients

Abstract  Objective：To establish the nursing quality evaluation index system for delirium prevention in ICU patients，and to provide the basis for evaluating and improving the nursing quality for the delirium prevention in ICU patients.Methods：After conducting the literature review，a pool of articles on nursing quality evaluation index for delirium prevention in ICU patients was formed based on "structure⁃process⁃outcome" three⁃dimensional quality structure model.The contents of the correspondence were determined through the discussion of the thematic group，and the contents and weights of the indicators were determined by Delphi method and analytic hierarchy process.Results：Two rounds of expert correspondence were conducted.The effective questionnaire recovery rates were 88% and 100%.The expert authority coefficients were 0.864 and 0.877，and the Kendall concordant coefficients were 0.205 and 0.292（both P<0.001）.Finally，the nursing quality evaluation index system for delirium prevention in ICU patients was determined to include 3 first⁃level index，9 second⁃level index and 41 third⁃level index.Conclusions：The nursing quality evaluation index system for delirium prevention in ICU patients was scientific and rigorous，and had good practicability，which could provide reference for evaluating the quality of delirium prevention and nursing of ICU patients.
