Reconstruction of“Statistical Genetics"Curriculum System Based on "Medical-Scientific" Integration in the Context of New Medicine

Abstract:“Statistical Genetics”,a core course of Bioinformatics major,plays an important role in cultivating students’statistical thinkingand ability toanalyze biomedical data.Under thebackground of New Medicine, combining with the demands of big data and artificial intellgence,and the teaching practice of the recent 20 years,this paper introduces the reconstruction and practice of currculum system of Bioinformatics major from teaching concept,textbook construction,teaching content,teachingmethodsand strategies,and course evaluation and assessment methods. Scores of the students after the implementation of the reconstructed curriculum system were better than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant ( t=

16.026, P<0.01 ). Through the effect analysis before and after the reform,it is found that the reconstructed curriculum system has fully mobilized students’initiative,expanded their knowledge,improved their practical ability and innovative thinking,and achieved good teaching results.
