Study on the Correlation Between Desert Cistanche deserticola Seed Grade and Infrared Spectroscopy

AbstractObjectieombiingtraditioalgadingmetodswithifraredspetrosopytcholog，thisstudyistostudytheeaio betweensedgadeadifraredspetralcharacteristicsofCtancedserticolandtquicklyidntifyndsrndifrentadef C .deserticolaedsusinginfraredspectroscopyMetodQualityindicatorssuchaspurity，thousand-grainweight，sdvigorandmoistureontet were measured for 36 samples of C .deserticola seeds from diffrent regions in Xinjiang. Cluster analysis was performed using SPSS 24 to determinethegradingresults.Ifraedspectroscoywasemploedtoobtaicharacterisiceakiforationforsedsofdiferentgrades，andte corelationbetwnspetraluresdsedgadsasalydResutdesericoldfrodierentregioseaste grades. Grade I seeds： purity >85% ，thousand-grain weigh >80mg ，seed vigor> 50% ，moisture content>6.5%，grain diameter >0.7 mm; Grade II seeds： purity 75%-85% ，thousand-grain weight 70-80mg ，seed vigor 35%-50% ，moisture content 5.5%-6.5% ，grain diameter 0.5-0.7 mm； Grade III seeds：purity <75% ，thousand-grain weight <70mg ，seedvigor <35% ，moisture content <5.5% ， grain diameter< 0.5mm.Different gradesof C .deserticolaseeds were significantlycorrelated withspecific infrared spectral peaks，including characteristic peaks at 2 925，2 854，1 742，1 636，1 513 and 1 030nm ，which effectively reflected the quality differences among the seeds.[Conclusion] Infrared spectroscopy can be used as a rapid identification and screening method for diffrent grades of C . deserticola seeds，and has important application value in seed grading and medicinal production of C .deserticola.
