AbstractObetie]ToclarifythdistrbutioofblastesistanegesinsouthepropagatiocemateralsfJangsuProvietod The presence of Pi5,Pi9,Pia,Pigm and Pita blast resistance genes in 11963 rice breeding materials were analyzed using penta-primer amplificationrefractorymutationsystem(PARMS).ResultTenumberofblastresistancegnescariedpericematerialrangedfromOto4ith materials harboring a single resistance gene being the most prevalent ( 49.09% ),while those carrying four genes were extremely rare (0.07%) L Significant diffrences were observed in the distribution frequencies of the five resistance genes,ranging from 0.88% to 47.74% .The Pita gene exhibited the highest frequency (47.74%) ,followed by Pi5 ( 18.26% ), Pia ( 17.45% ),andPigm( 14.19% ),while Pi9 showed the lowest frequency ( 0.88% ).A totalof 22 blastresistancegenecombinations wereidentifiedamong the11963materials.Among combinations withtwoor more genes, Pita+Pia was the most common (959 materials),followed by Pita+Pi5 (690 materials).[Conclusion] This study provides a prelimiaryudesadgofsrtiooflassisasgopticateralsteical the future development of broad-spectrum blast-resistant varieties through targetedutilization of these resistance genes.
