AbstractBased on conventional upper-air and surface observations,combined with satellite and radar detection data,synoptic methodology was utilized to analyze a heavy rain process that occurred in Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia,from August2 to4,2O23.Theanalysis primarilyfocusedonitscirculation background,physical parameters,and satelite cloud imagery characteristics.The results indicated that the event was triggered by the interaction between typhoon“Khanun”andamid-latitudetrough.Aquasi-stationary lowvortex at 85O hPa over Northeast China anda surfacecyclone were the primary influencing systems.A southerly low-level jetonthe western flank of the subtropical high provided sustained moisture from the Bohai and advecteda cyclone family northeastward, supplying the necessary dynamic forcing for the heavy rainfall. The peripheral moisture from typhoon“Khanun”, transportedremotelyviaaneasterlylow-level jetonthe northern sideof thelowvortex,servedasthekeymoisture source.Favorable dynamic conditions includedaneast-west shear lineand the topographic forcing of the Greater Khingan Mountains.Theprecipitation characteristics transitioned from initial convective to subsequent stratiform. Sateliteimageryconfirmsthat the vortex cloud systemwasacrucialfactor in thedevelopmentof therainstorms.The research results provide a reference for rainstorm early warning and agricultural production.
