AbstractBasedon the 2O22 land use data of Kashgar Prefecture,Xinjiang,spatial information technology platformssuchas ArcGISandFragstats 4.2 were employedtodivide evaluationunitsand constructaland use ecological risk index assessment model basedonlandscape pattrn indices,thereby evaluating the ecological risk of the region. The results were as follows:(1)The main land use types in the study area are bareland, grasland,farmland,and icesnow,accounting for 57.7801%,23.496 6%, 11.6262% ,and 6.6314% of the total area, respectively.(2) The landscape ecologicalrisk index ofthestudyarearangedfrom O.O102toO.1755.The high risk area had the smalestarea,covering 834 239.18 hm2(6.13%), with grassland,ice-snow,and bare land asthe main land use types.The lowerrisk area had the largest area,reaching 4109 047.97 hm2(30.20%) ,dominated bybare land,grassland,and farmland.The levelof landscape ecologicalrisk of landuse was closelyrelated to the four land use types mentionedabove (grasland,bare land,farmland,and ice-snow).(3)Among the 12regions in the study area,the medium-and high-risk zones accountedforarelativelylowproportionof the totalarea,8sub-regions hadahighriskarea proportionofO,while the remaining 4 sub-regions had a high risk area proportion ranging from 10% to 50% . Overall, the ecosystem of the region was in a good state.The research results provide a reference forthe ecosystem maintenance of this region.
