AbstractTo screen foractinomycetes with antagonistic efects against tobacco brown spot disease,the experiment began with microscopic morphological observation of the tobacco brown spot.Actinomycetes were isolated from the rhizospheresoilof healthy tobacco plantsusing the dilution plateseparationmethod.Meanwhile,an in vitro plate confrontationassay wasconducted toanalyze theirantagonistic efects.Theresultsshowed that the conidia of the tobacco brown spot pathogen were light brown and club-shaped,while the hyphae were colorless and transparent.A totalof 59actinomycete strains were isolatedfrom thesoil,exhibiting diversecolonycolorsand tightlyintertwined hyphae.The plate-confrontationassayresults indicated that7actinomycete strains exhibited inhibitory efects against tobacco brownspot disease.Theaverage inhibition zone diameters over5consecutive days were as follows:YF-33 (20.46 mm) >YF-49 (15.12 mm) > YF-5 (14.60 mm) > YF-1 (11.76mm)>YF-48(11.22mm)>YF-41(9.64mm)> YF-55 (9.44 mm).Among them,YF-33,YF-49,andYF-5 showedacontinuous increasing trend ininhibition zone diameters overthe5days,with thediameters reaching 23.13mm,16.33 mm,and17.33mm,respectively,onthe 7th day.OveralltheactinomycetesYF-33,YF-49,andYF-5demonstrated effctive,stable,andprolongedantagonistic effcts,providing valuableinsightsfor the biological control of tobaccobrownspot diseaseusing antagonistic microorganisms.
