Abstract: Nanning opera,alocal operain Guangxi Province,becomespopularattheendof Qing Dynasty.Ithas reached its primeinthewarlordera.Asthedevelopmentofglobalization,Nanngopera,anoutdatedoperahasbeennearlyextinctinhehistory.FortunatelyithasbeenlistedintotheNationalIntangibleCulturalHeritageandreenteredtopeople'slife.AColetionnd StudyontheExistingPysofNnningTraditioalOpera,writenandcolectedbyShiYanduangBincontainseightclassicplas ofNanningopera.Apartfromthedialoguesofplays,ithasaddedbriefintroductionandexplnationforeachplaywhichprovidesan easyandclear waytoknowthislcalopera.AnAncient JadeCupisoneof the popularplays amongthiscolection.Thisstoryis also foundinother traditionalopera,suchasGuangdong,HunanandGuangxi operas.Ithasbeenlongwell-knonfortheclearrelationshipofcharactersandexcitingplots.Thus,ithasbeenselectedtobetheresearchmaterial.UndertheguidanceofCommunicative Translation Theory,accesibleandadaptable translation principles havebeenputforwardforimprovingfuturetranslationof Nanning opera and spread of opera culture.
