Abstract：Explores the mechanism and clinical application of the method of draining the south and supplementing the north basedon HUANG Yuanyu's theoryofqi circulation.Byanalyzing the dynamic modelof thecentral earth's mediationandthefour-dimensional rotation inthetheoryofqicirculation，aswellasthepathogenesis discussionof the four-directional visceral manifestations in the 75th chapter of the Nan Jing（The Classic of Difficult Issues），the authors proposethatthecentral earth-fourdirections modelisthecommontheoreticalmodel forboth the methodof draining the southand supplementing the north and the theory of qi circulation.The authors believe that theessenceof the pathogenesis of excess intheeastanddeficiency inthe westlies inthedysfunctionof the middleenergizer，leading to excessive ascentof wood and fire and insufficient descentof metal and water.This imbalance in theascending and descending of qi resultsinthenon-interaction between water andfire.Therefore，the treatment method involves drainingtheheartfirein the south tocalmthehyperactiveliverwoodandsupplementingthe kidneywaterin the northto nourishthedeficientlung metal.Esentially，this methodaims to restore the four-dimensional circulation byregulating thecentralearth axis.The methodof draining thesouth and supplementing the north harmonizes theascending and descendingqiofthecentralearth and thefourdirections，providingapractical pathwayforthe theoryofqicirculation. Bothapproaches emphasize thecentral regulation tocontrol the periphery，highlighting thewisdomof dynamic balance and the flexibility of syndrome differentiation and treatment in Chinese medicine.
