Clinical Study on Kaiqiao Liyan Four-Step Needling Combined with Swallowing Training for Post-Stroke Dysphagia

Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical eficacyof Kaiqiao Liyan Four-Step Needling combined with swallowing training in patientswith post-strokedysphagiaonthe basis of conventional therapy.Methods：A total of 108 patients with post-strokedysphagia admited to Quzhou HospitalofTraditional Chinese MedicinefromJanuary 2024 to June 2024 wereenrolledand divided into thecontrol group and the combined group using the random number table method，with 54cases ineach group.Both groups received conventional therapyand swalowing training，whilethe combined group additionally underwent Kaiqiao Liyan Four-Step Needling.The courseof treatment for the two groups lasted four weeks.The changes in swallowing function [Standardized Swallowing Assessment（（SSA）score]，dysphagia severity[VideofluoroscopicSwallowingStudy （VFSS）score]beforeandaftertreatmentinthetwo groupswereevaluated，and theclinical eficacy，the pharyngealconstriction durationand incidence ofcomplications were recorded.Results：After treatment，the total effective rate in the combined group was higher than that in the control group （ P<0.05 ）.Both groups showed decreased SSA scores and increased VFSS scores compared to those before treatment，diferences being significant （ P<0.05 ）.The SSA score in the combined group was lower than that in the control group，the VFSS score was higher，differences being significant （ P<0.05 ）.The pharyngeal constriction duration was prolonged in the two groups （ P<0.05 ），and the duration in the combined group was significantly longer than that in the control group （ P< 0.05）.The incidence of complications in the combined group was lower than that in the control group （ P<0.05 ） Conclusion：Theapplication of Kaiqiao LiyanFour-Step Needling combined with swallowing training，on thebasis of conventional therapy，can efectively improve swallowing function，reduce complications，and enhance clinical efficacy in patients with post-stroke dysphagia.
