Current Status and Optimization Strategies for China's Welding Standards System

Abstract:[Objective]Awel-structured welding standards system is essntial forenhancing technicalcapabilitiesand ensuring product qualityarossthe industry.This studyaims to evaluate thecurrnt status of China’s welding standards and propose optimization strategies.[Methods] Using literature review,comparative analysis,statistical evaluation,and casestudies,thisresearchsystematicallyexaminesbothdomesticandinternationalweldingstandardssystems.Itexplores keystandardizationneeds,including timelyupdates,improvedapplicability,supplementationofmissingstandards,andthe establishment ofeffective supervision mechanisms.[Results]The study identifies severalshortcomings in Chinas welding standards,such asoutdated content and poor alignment with industrial applications,whereas international standards showadvantages intermsofupdatefrequencyandglobalapplicability.Statisticalanalysisofnational standardsreveals imbalances infactor distribution,processcoverage,and integrationacross manufacturing stages.Inresponse,the study proposes a hierarchical model for standard structuring and suggests a comprehensive framework encompassing general fundamentals,materials,processes,equipment,management,andinterdisciplinaryintegration.Toupporttheftive implementation of updated standards,the study recommends enhanced training and outreach,a dynamic supervision mechanism,and regular performance evaluation.[Conclusion] These measures provide both theoretical guidance and practical pathways for advancing the welding standards system in China.
