Abstract： [Objective] The Greenhouse Gas Protocol （GHGP）is a globallyrecognized framework that began earlyand has wideapplicability in greenhouse gas （GHG）emissions accounting.Many of its practices andconcepts havedistinctive characteristics that offer valuable reference.[Methods]This study reviews the GHGP's organizational structure，key components，and development history.It analyzes the system's features in terms offramework composition，general requirements，and boundarydefinitions.[Results]Theanalysis provides lessons and insights forthedevelopmentof GHGrelatedstandards，particularlyinareassuchasistitutionalmechanisms，systemdsign，frameworkformulation，ndotent organization.[Conclusion]Awel-structuredandcomprehensiveGHGacounting system enablesmore scientific，rational， andefficient emisionsreporting.The distinctivecharacteristicsof the GHGProtocoloffer meaningfulreference forfuture standardization efforts and technical development
