Abstract：The Nanjing City Wallretainsa historicallysignificantstone stele knownas the TaipingmenGap Stele，marked by buletimpacts，erodedinscriptions，ndadvancedweathering.Asakeyartifactforresearchonthewal'shistory，theTaiping Rebellion，andZengGuofan’slegacytspreservationposesconsiderablechalenges.Thisstudyexaminestheconservationofthe TaipingmenGapStele，emphasizingitshistoricalimportanceandcurrentdeterioration.Traditionalrubbingmethods，once commonlyusedfordocumentation，riskfurtherdamagetothefragilestone.Inresponse，theNanjingCityWallMuseumhas adoptednon-contactdigitalrubingtechnologytocreatehighfidelitydigitalreplicas.Thisinnovativeapproachenablesaccurate archiving，facilitatesmultimediaexhibitionsandscholarlyresearchandsupprtsfuturerestorationeforts.Moreover，itsetsa precedentforthedigital preservationofotherstonerelics，oferingasustainablealternativetophysical interventions.
