Abstract:Innuclearpowerplants,theappicationofClass1Ebateriesiscritical.Theycanserveasthelastsafety protectionbarrierwhenproblemsariseinthepowersuplyofnuclearpowerplants,therebyensuringthesafeoperationof nuclear powerplantequipment.Therefore,thechoiceofClass1Ebateriesiscritical.Asavalve-regulatedsealedlead - acid bateryVRLAaerractestiofrongtih,igaetyndlostIfitiusdsas anuclearpowerplant,itcanefectivelymeetitsfunctionalrequirements.Basedonthis,takingthecharacteristicsofVRLA bateriesandE-classbateriesasthestartingpoint,webrieflydiscussthfeasibilityjudgmentprinciplesofVRLAbateriesas 1E-classbateriesinnuclearpowerplants,andanalyzesixfailure modes:positivegridcorosion,positiveactivematerial softening,negaiveuscorrosionelectrolytedess,ealuaayandirversiblesulfationusprovidingfereeforthe feasibility analysis of VRLA batteriesas1E-classbatteries innuclearpowerplants.
