Abstract:The China-MongoliaRailwayisamajorarteryforthenorthwarddevelopmentofChina'sBeltandRoadInitiative. However,itisgreatlyaffctedbystrongwindsanddustalongthewaywhichhaveasignificantimpactonthesafetyofrailway operations.ThispaperusestheAnalytical HierarchyProcess(AHP)toassessrailwaydrivingsafetyrisksinwindyanddusty weather.Fistthgoallevel,iteriolevelndidicatorlevelareeasoablytablised;tenthjudgmentmatrixisoscted usingthe1-9scalemethod;finaly,the weightsofeachriskfactoraredeteminedthroughhierarchicalsingleranking,cosistency test,andhierarcicaloverallrankingandconsistencyestAfteranalysis,itwasdeterminedthatthelrgestifluencingfactorwas windspeed,folowedbylinirectionandgustharacteristsandoterfactorshdlessimpact.Teesearhrsultsprovidedata basis and decision support for the operation of the China-Mongolia railway in windy and dusty weather.
