A Method for Improving the Recognition Degree of SF6 Gauge by Substation Inspection Robots Based on Multi-dimensional Optimization

Abstract: To address the operational efficiency bottleneck caused by the low accuracy (only 70.25% ) of SF6 gas gauge recognitionbyinteligentinspectionrobots insubstations,thisstudyproposesamulti-dimensionalsolutionintegratinghardware improvements,materialupgrades,and processoptimization.Bydesigning high-contrast auxiliary positioning markers, establishing standardizedcameramaintenanceprocedures,and upgradingtheobservation window material topolycarbonate (PC),thethree majorfailure factorsof positioning deviations,window contamination,and gauge aging were systematically resolved.Fieldvalidation in substationsdemonstrated thatthe SF6 gaugerecognitionaccuracyincreased to 93.79 % (exceeding the target by 3.79% ), manual verification workload decreased by 67% ,and single-inspection duration shortened by 42 minutes.Thisapproach significantlyreducesoperationalcostsand providesacritical technicalfoundationforthe intelligent transformation of power systems.
