Abstract：Asthe cutting-edge technology of artificial intellgence and computer science，machine vision has been widelyused in allareas of human lifebecause itcan help many industries gain a significant competitiveadvantage intermsof beter productquality，highercustomersatisfaction，and higher productivity.Thispaper firstintroduced the definition，main tasksand mainuses of machine vision technology，and then focused on the application of machine vision technology inthe fieldof oil andgas storageand transportation，including safety monitoringand management，construction operation management and supervision，equipmentand facility monitoring，etc.Finally，the application prospect of machine vision technology in the field of oil and gas storageand transportation was analyzed and prospected，aiming to provide reference for the future research and practice of this technology.
