Preparation and performance study of adhesive for 3D printing rapid prototype fabrication

Abstract:Basedon the requirements of 3D printing fast prototype designand production of high-performance adhesivessuch as bonding strength and lapseting time,the effects of adhesive composition and light alkali production content on the tensile properties and lap seting time of adhesive specimens were studied.The results showed that with the increaseof epoxyacrylate(EA)content in theadhesive,the tensile strength of the sample gradually decreased,and the elongationafter break first decreasedand then increased,andthe pentaerythrityltetra-3-mercaptopropionate -hexanediol diacrylate (HDDA) : epoxy resin (E5l)=100:10:10:80 specimen had a goodcombination of tensile strength and elongation after break.Whenthe content of light alkali production agent gradually increased to 2.0% ,the initial bonding strength of the sample gradually increased,the lap seting time,the finalbonding strengthand tensilestrength graduallydecreased,andtheelongationafter fracture first increasedand then decreased. When the content of photoalkali production agent was 1.0% ,the sample had a short lap seting time and high bonding strength and tensile properties,which is a suitable amount of light alkali production agent.
