Effects of Steam Pretreatment on the Extraction Eficiency of Tobacco Stems and the Smoke Components of Reconstituted Tobacco Sheets

Abstract：Inisuympaturesdtreatacosndsofrereattac tioneffciencyoftobacostes，waterolublesugarontentinthtract，mcrostructurendsokeleaseharacteristisofeo ducedreconsitutedtbaotseresemticallyinvestigatdThsultsodattsmpretreaenttesiantlyflu encedtheextractionrateoftobaccostemsandthesuarcontentinteetract.Compaedtoutreatedtobaccostems （withanetractioate of 34.1% ），theextraction rate increased by 21% after8 min of steam pretreatment （with an extraction rate of 41.3% ）.Meanwhile，the increases in the content of water-soluble total sugars and reducing sugars in the extract both exceeded 69% . Microstructural analysis revealed thatsteampretreatmentcausedthetisuestructureof tbaccostemstoexpandandtheporesizestoincrease.Smokecomponentanalysis demonstratedthatsteapretreatmentfectivelyducedthecontentofhrmfulcomponentssuchascotine，foraldehydeetaol，fur furalandcloromehaneinesoeofecostiutedtobacosts，ndiiicantlinreasdtententofromaticompotsuc as acids，aldehydes，and phenols.

造纸法烟草薄片以卷烟加工过程中产生的副产物（如废弃烟梗、碎末等）为主要原料，经水浸提、固液分离和磨浆处理后与木浆纤维、填料在助留剂的作用下经纸机抄造成烟草基片，随后将浓缩后的提取液回涂至基片得到烟草薄片[-2]。（剩余13477字）
