Preparation of Cationic Guar Gum and Its Application in Cigarette Paper

Abstract：Intssdyelativelyigubstitiodegatioicargsscfullprepadmcallydifnggarusig betaincylchlordeasaatiocagentunderpyidincatalsisTesultssowdthatuderoptidreactiocodtios（guatota ine acyl chloride mass ratio of 4：2，pyridine dosage of 8.5% ，reaction temperature of ，and time of 2h ），the degree of substitutionof thecationic guar gum reached 0.098 ，while the initial viscosityof guar gum was well retained.Thermogravimetric analysis demonstrateda significant improvementintetalabilityfteodifdatioicggu.Scagelctroncroseveaedpooustuctureoitssuaco firmingthatheactionocureduifolyothonthesufceandwitinteargumatrixWenapledtoigareepaperproductionte filler retention eficiency increased with the dosage ofcationic guar gum.At a dosage of 0.15% （relative to the total mass of cigarette paper），the filler retention rate peaked at 56.7 % ，and the chromium content in the cigarette paper was 1.63mg/kg ，complying with GB 29949—2013.
