Method of capacity optimization for hybrid energy storage systems in MG

Abstract:Withthelarge-scaleappicationof renewableenergy,someofthepower thatcanot beconsumed bythe load endleadstoenergywastageandgridpowerfluctuations,severelyimpactingtheoperationalstabilityofmicrogrid(MG)systems. Onthis basis,amulti-objectiveoptimizationmodel basedon hybrid energystorage system (HESS)in MGis proposed,and the operationalMGstrategyisestablishedbytaking thecomprehensivedailyoperatingcostandself-suficiencyrateof the v asthe objectivefunctions.Then,animprovednon-dominatedsortinggeneticalgorithm-I(NSGA-II)algorithiscombindwithhe TOPSIS decision-makingmethodforproblem-solving.After exampleanalysis,theimproved NSGA-Ialgorithm iscompared with themulti-objectiveparticleswarm(MOPSO)algorithm,aswellasHESSandthebateryenergystoragesystem (BESS).The exampleanalysisresultsshowthatincomparisonwiththe MOPSOalgorithm,theproposedalgorithmdemonstratessignificant advantagesintermsofconvergence speedandthediversityof theParetosolutionsets.IncomparisonwithBESS,HESScan significantlyreduceoperationalMGcostsandiprovesystemstability,effectivelyvalidatingthefeasibilityandsuperiorityof the proposed model and algorithm.
