SOC balancing control strategy of multiple energy storage units in DC microgrid considering different line resistance

Abstract:Animproveddroopcontrol strategyconsidering diferentlineimpedances isproposedtoaddress theissueof reduced stateofcharge(SOC)balance levelsinmultipleenergystorageunitsinisolatedDCmicrogrids.Onthebasisof traditionaldroopcontrol,linresistancecompensationvoltageandvariablespedfactorareaddedtoalocatethecurrntofach energystorageunitreasonably,therebyrealizingrapidSOCbalance.Byimprovingthedroopcontrol,equivalentlineimpedance isintroducedtoconsiderbalancingthecurrentoftheenergystorageunitwhensuddenlyconnectedtothelocalload,achieving SOCbalance under disturbanceconditions.The bus voltagecompensation controlstrategy wasadded to compensate for the DC busvoltageandmaintainitattheratedvalue.ThesimulationmodelinMatlab/Simulinkisbuilt.Thesimulationresultsshowthat theproposedimproveddroopcontrolstrategycan eliminate theinfluenceof lineresistanceandachieveacuratecurrent distributionandfastSOCbalancingundervarious disturbanceconditions,whichhasacertain theoretical significanceforSOC balancing of multiple energy storage units.
