Abstract:Inthisresearch,amethod thatincorporatesinductorsandcapacitorsasaninput currentripplecancellation network basedon traditionalBoostpowerfactorcorrction (PFC)convertersisproposed.Thetraditional BoostPFCinductoris replacedwithcoupledinductors,andcombinedwithauxiliaryinductorsandcapacitorbranchestoreduceinputcurentriple. Small-signalanalysisresultsshowthatthisconvertercanexhibitstaticanddynamiccharacteristicssimilartothoseofraditional BoostPFCs.Thesimulationanalysisindicatesthatthepowerfactor(PF)of theimprovedBostPFCisO.999andthetotal harmonic distortion (THD) is less than 5% .Atesting prototype with a rated power of 3Oo W,aninput of 22OV AC,and an output of 400V was built by means of the NCP1654chip with single-cycle control.The experimental results show that this converter has advantages of low input current ripple,high power factor,and low THD.
