Abstract:In the multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO)orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM)radarsystems, equidistantsubcarierinterleaving(ESI)isusuallyapliedtoachievetheorthogonalityof transmit (Tx)signalsintefrequency domain.However,theESIsufersfromtherange-dependentangleerors.Inviewofthis,atargetparameterestimationmethod using range-division multiplexing (RDM)MIMO OFDMradar is proposed.Firstly,the signal model ofRDM MIMOOFDMradar is establishedtoobtaintheorthogonalTxwaveformsoftetransmitingterminalintherangedomain,sothattheantennaapertureof theradarreceiverisexpandedsignificantlyandtheangleresolutionisimproved.Then,abinarymasktoseparateTxwaveforms insteadofusingaband-assfilterisintroducedbetweetherange-velocityprocesingandtheangleestimation.Atthesametime, thenoisiterfereceisuppssdndheaingqualitiimproedFinallheoecessdecivesofe method areevaluatedbysimulations.Theresultsshowthat,incomparison withtheESI,theproposed methodcanremove the range-dependentangleerrosefectively,andachievehigherimagingresolutionandauracyofangleparametereiation.
