Research and practice on the cultivation of composite applied talents： A case study of aquaculture major in Beibu Gulf University*

Abstract：In recent years，with the continuous emergence of new technologies，varieties，and equipment，China's aquaculture industry has experienced rapid development. Traditional， single一discipline talents have become difficult to adapt to the complex and ever-changing needs of industrial development，and higher requirements have been placed on the cultivation of undergraduate talents. This article analyzes the current status and existing problems of aquaculture professional talent cultivation， summarizes the measures taken by the aquaculture major at Beibu Gulf University to cultivate composite application talents through the construction of interdisciplinary integration between "agriculture一 science" and "agriculture-engineering" disciplines，the creation of a practical model combining both inside and outside the university，and the integration of innovation and entrepreneurship education throughout the cultivation process. It explores the pathways for the cultivation of talents in the aquaculture major under the new situation，in order to meet the demand for composite application talents in modern aquaculture.
