Abstract:This study evaluated heat tolerance variations and genetic parameters among 2O families of Penaeus monodon through acute high-temperature stress tests. The experiment maintained a constant 38°C (heating rate ,recorded individual survival times,and analyzed data using a single一trait animal model. The results showed: Significant inter-family variation in heat tolerance ( P<0.000 1 ),median lethal time(LT50)of 105h and survival time range from 48 to 150h ;heritability estimate for high-temperature tolerance was 0.20±0.02(Z=10 , P<0.01 ),falling within the moderate heritability range,indicating selective breeding potential for this trait.
