Abstract: Objectirve To analyze the hotspots and frontier of research through sorting literatures in the field of narrative medical education in China,with the purpose of serving as reference for future research. Methods Relevant literatures on narrtive medical education in China were searched from journals in the CNKI database. CiteSpace 6.4.Rl software was employed for visualized analysis on institutions,authors and key words of the 562 included literatures.Results The number of publications related to narrative medicine education in China showed a growing trend between 2Oll and 2O24.The top-ranking institutions and authors in terms of number of publications were mainly from medical schools and teaching hospitals in the easter region of China.There was limited cooperation between institutions and authors.Visualized analysis on keywords revealed that research hotspots included teaching practices of narrative medicine,narative nursing education,curriculum ideological and politics and narrative teaching methods.The frontier is the improvement of teaching modes in narrative medicie. Conclusion The research of narrative medical education in China is on the rise,but there are some problems such as uneven regional development and lack of standardized teaching system of narrative medicine. It is necessary to strengthen the cooperation between regions and institutions,share the advantageous resources of teaching practices of narrative medicine and construct the localized teaching mode of narrative medicine,so as to improve the quality of narrative medicine education.
