AbstractObectieToivstigateteologialfuctionadsignalpeptidecharacteristisofemaieLazaus1(LZ)proteset od]Thetransmembranestructureandsignalpeptidesofninemembersof theZmLAZ1familywereanalyzedusingbioiformaticmethod.Te signalpeptidesecretionfuctioasverfedusingaSUC2vectorincombinationwithteyasttrainYK12hichhasasucrosinetase secretiondefect.Result]AllmembersoftheZLAZ1familyontainahig-probabilitytransmembranehelixattheN-terminus.Aongtem, ZmLAZ1-2,ZmLAZ1-3,ZmLAZ1-4,ZmLAZ1-5,ZmLAZ1-7andZmLAZ1-9were predicted toavesignalpeptides.Yeastsecretonexpits furthercnfidthattheZLZ1-7sigalpeptdepossesessecretonactivityandtheZAZ1-7signalpeptidefusionproteinwerepable ofsecretingeraseablingteakdoofoeitoocdes.oclusioissudrovdereticalsuport elucidatingtheologicalfunctiosofZAZfmilyproteinsandtheirfictoalmechanismsinmaie,ndprovidesaeferecefortestudyf gene functions and breeding applications in maize.
