Abstract To identify the DREB genes in Populus davidiana ×P . alba var. pyramidalis responding to abiotic stress,a PdaDREB2E gene was cloned from Populus davidiana ×P . alba var. pyramidalis in this study.The amino acid sequence characteristics of this gene were analyzed by bioinformatics.Theresultsshowedthat theproteinsequenceofPdaDREB2Econtaied451aminocids,witharelativemolecularassof 50334.94andateoreticaliselectricoit(p)f6.erewereotransmembraneegiosorsigalpeptides,dicatingthatitsao secretedproteiItotaidsrine(S)reone(T)nd5tyosine(Y)posprylationsites.esodarydeayu tures were mainly composed of random coils (41.68% ), α -helices (34.37%) ),extended chains (14.19% ),and β -sheets( 9.76% ). The genewaslocatedintecleusnddsef-activatioactityPlgenetictreaalysisidcatedthatthaoacidsequencealosely relatedtotheEBprotesiopuuslndopuusmeoseexpressopateoftegeindfrentissusndiot ic stresswasanalyzedbyreal-timefluorescence quantitativePCR(RT-qPCR)Theresultsshowedthattheexpressionlevelof PdaDREB2E wasthehighestinrotsandthelowestinstems.Underabiotictresuchasdrought(PG),salt(NaCl),andabscisicacid(ABA)treatment,PdDRBEsoddftexprsioncracterstiesultspridedatealsforthesdyoftetresssistaefucf the PdaDREB2E gene in Populus davidiana ×P . alba var. pyramidalis.
