Abstract:Metabolicassociatedfatty liverdisease(MAFLD)hasacomplexpathogenesis,andmitophagyisinvolvedinthe developmentand progresionof MAFLDandplaysakeyroleinliver metabolicpathwaysandsignaling networks.Mitophagyis regulatedbyavarietyof pathways,andthePTEN-induced kinase1(PINK1)/Parkinpathwayisconsideredthe mainpathway for regulating mitophagy.MitophagymediatedbythePINKl/Parkinpathwaycanregulate lipidmetabolism,inflammation,andfibrosis anddelaytheprogressonofMAFLD.ThisarticlereviewstheroleofmitophagymediatedbythePINK1/ParkinpathwayinMAFLDand theresearchadvancesintargetedtherapy,inordertoprovidetheoreticalbasesandideasforthepreventionandtreatmentofMAFD.
