Abstract:Bearingsare widelyused inmodernindustry,and their performance largelydependsonthemorphologyand distributionoftheircarbides.This paper testsandcharacterizes thevariationpatternsofcarbides in GCrl5bearing stel in diferentproductionprocesses.Inthehot-roledstate,thereticularcarbidesaredistributedintermitentlyalongtheaustenite grain boundaries,with an average width of 0.28μm and an area fraction of approximately 4.8% .After spheroidizing annealing,thereticularcarbidesmeltandfusetoformsphericalcarbides,andthelamellarcementitesinpearlitealsoundergo spheroidization and form spherical carbides.The average particle size of these spherical carbides is 0.42μm and their volume fractionisapproximately 14.5% .By controlling the hot rolling temperature and cooling rate,the formation of reticular carbides canbereduced.Byspheroidizinganealing,reticularcarbidescanbe transformed intosphericalcarbides,improving the performance of bearing steel.
