Abstract：Withtheapiddevelopmentofutomotivetechnologiestowardelectrification，connectivityandintelligence worldwide，countriesaredevelopingandevisingregulationsandsandardstopromotetheapplicationofadvanced，activeand intellgentsafetytechnologies invehicles.TheEuropeanUnion （EU）promulgatedtheRegulation（EU）2019/2144in2019， establishingforward-lookingrequirementsfortheconfgurationofsafetytechnologiesinmotorvehiclesandtheirtrailerswhich havebeenimplementedprogresively.Itprovidesimportantreferenceforthedevelopmentandrevisionofrelevant Chinese standards.ByanalyzingthekeyprovisionsoftheRegulation （EU）20l9/2144，thispapercomparesandanalyzes thecurrent statusandshortcomingsofrequirementsforadvancedsafetytechnologyinstalations inChina’smandatorynationalstandard GB7258-2ol7Technicalspecificationsforfetyfpower-drivenveiclesperatingonrods，swellastheeveloptd implementationofrelatedtechnicalstandards.Buildingonthisanalysis，targetedsuggestionsareproposedtoprovidereference forrevisingGB7258-2Ol7andotherstandards，thereby enhancing the safetyperformanceof motorvehicles inChina and contributing to the prevention and reduction of road traffic accidents.
