Abstract：The BrakeAsist System（BAS）isacorecomponentof modernautomotiveactivesafetysystems.Its primary function istodetectthiver'semergencyrakingintetionandactivelyeacebrakingpressureaddresingteisueofreducedbaigeficiencycausedysuicientpdalfoeiniicalsatios.Fist，teiionndreeofBAreeplad，fodbyan overviewofitstechnologicalevolutionfrompassivetoactivesafetyBasedonAD89standardsandtheoperatioalcharacteristicsof theBASsystem，alongwithtestingprotocolsfordynamicoadconditions，eal-worldvehicletestdataisanalyzedtoexamine theactualperformanceofBAS incommercialvehicles.Thesafetybenefits，suchasreducingbrakingdistanceandloweringrear-endcolision rates，are further demonstrated through practical test data.
