Abstract:Inresponsetothecrackproblem thatocuredinthebucketarmofacertaingarbagetransportvehicleduringactualuse, thistudyconductedafailureanalysisandstructuralimprovementhroughacombinatioofdynamicanalysisandfiniteelementsimulation.Firstly,anaccurate3DmodelofthebucketarmwasestablishedbasedonCADsoftware,andthemaximumloadanditsposition duringoperationweredeterminedthroughdynamicanalysis.Subsequentlythestaticfniteelementanalysisconductedhowedthatthe maximum stress of the bucket arm was 400.9MPa ,and its high stress area was highly consistent with the actual crack location,thus clarifyingthecauseofthecrackOnthisbasis,atargetedredesignofthebucketarmstructurewascariedout.Simulationverification underthesameoperatingconditionsshowsthatthestressvalueofthenewlydesignedbucketarmattheoriginalcrackdangerointhas been reduced to 253.3MPa ,a decrease of 36.8% ,effectively solving the problem of structural cracking. This study provides a direct reference for thereliability design and optimization ofbucket arms for similar garbage transport vehicles.
