Abstract：Inresponse to thecurrnt statusofhydrogeological investigationof electricpowerprojects inChinaand the demandsofecologicalevironmentalprotection，DL/034-3，Technicalcodeforhydrogeologicalinvestigationof electricpowerengineering，hasbeensystematicallyrevisedbasedonitso06version.Thispaperelucidatesthenecesity oftherevisionand analyzes the structuraladjustmentsandcorerevisions inthe2O23version.Theupdatedcode expands fromthe original7chapters to10 chapters，adding newchapters suchas“General Requirements”and“Environmental Hydrogeological Investigationand Evaluation".Itclarifies technicalspecifications for powergenerationprojects， substationenginering，minewaterdrainage，dewateringengineering，andenvironmental hydrogeologicalinvestigation andevaluation.Therevision emphasizes theapplicationof numerical simulation，informationtechnology，anddynamic monitoring systems，while integrating environmental protection and sustainable development principles.Also，the standardalignswithnationalandindustrystandards，whichhassignificantlyimprovedthescientificrigor，standardization， andtechnologicaladvancementofhydrogeological investigationof electricpowerprojects.Theimplementationof this standard willprovide crucial technical support for ensuring the safe operation of power infrastructure and promoting green low-carbon development，bringingabout positive economic，social，and environmental benefits.
