Comparison of Two Refrigeration Methods in the Pre-concentration System for the Determination of 65 Volatile Organic Compounds in Ambient Air

Abstract：This paper adopts the pre-concentration gas chromatography/mass spectrometry （GC/MS）to determine 65 volatileorganiccompounds（VOCs）inambientair，andcompares twopre-concentrationmethods，the liquid nitrogen cryogenicrefrigeration methodand electronicrefrigeration method.Bycomparing the linear correlationcoeficients， detection limits，precision，andaccuracyof the 65VOCsunderthetwo refrigeration methods，theresultsshowed no significant differences.Both methods mettherequirements specifedintheanalytical standardHJ759-2023，Ambient air-Determinationof65volatileorganiccompounds-Collcted incanisters andanalyzed bygas chromatography/ massspectrometry.Comparedtotheliquidnitrogenrefrigerationmethod，theelectronicrefrigerationmethodhasdistinct advantages，including independence from liquid nitrogen transportationconstraints，lowercosts，andno needforlongterm storage.
