[Abstract]Hashimoto thyroiditis （HT） is a kind of thyroid inflammation causedby autoimmune reactions. Clinically，itoften presents as painlessgoiter and thyroid dysfunction.Inrecent years，the incidence ratehas been increasing yearby year.In terms of treatment，if hypothyroidism occurs，western medicine mostly gives thyroid hormone replacement therapy，while traditional Chinese medicine has various treatment methods and definite therapeutic efects.This article classifiesand summarizes the specificapplications of traditional Chinese medicine external treatment methods in the treatmentof HTthrough therelevant literatureon theapplication of traditional Chinese medicine external treatment methods in the treatment of HT in the past 1O years，aiming to provide a reference basis for the treatment of HTwith traditional Chinese medicine.
